About Us
Kath Sneddon established the Penrith Centre in 1990 and moved to the current address in 1996. The premises from which the Centre is run is opposite Penrith Primary School and just one block away from Penrith CBD. It is accessible from Penrith train station and bus interchange which is about a 10 minute walk away while many bus routes pass nearby. There is ample on-street parking available and a comfortable waiting room. |
| All tutoring rooms are air conditioned for students comfort which contributes to a pleasant environment conducive to learning. |

Kath and the tutors are all fully qualified, practising teachers. Kath has a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and a Diploma in Special Education with extensive experience in teaching children with learning difficulties and behavioural problems. We also design and implement programs for extension of students applying for scholarships and selective high schools. There are High School teachers for English, Maths and Physics up to HSC level and other primary teachers.
Our Centre has up-to-date programs, computers for drill and assisted learning. Our aim is to promote learning in a positive and comfortable environment.
What We Do
We change children's lives!
We help students by teaching them what they need to know in a friendly and supportive environment in a way that they can learn. Parents gain peace of mind because they know their children will improve in basic skills and so take the stress out of homework. |
| We offer a free initial primary assessment so we can individualise programs and design one specifically for that student's needs. |
Students attend 80 minute sessions at 4pm or 5.30pm Monday to Friday where they use Kip McGrath computer programs, resources and materials specially tailored to meet NSW Education and Training Dept curricula. The English, Reading, Comprehension, Writing, Spelling and Maths activities can be completed in each session so there is plenty of variety and practise. |
Homework forms an integral part of the individually designed program so that what is taught during the session will be practised at home.
