Mark Jones is an experienced teacher and Educational Consultant. He has been helping students for more than twenty five years and is still passionate about discovering the keys to their success. "You never tire of seeing the light go on in their eyes."    Mark has taught all ages: pre-primary to adult, from learning disabled to gifted and talented.

The CORE of our service is our initial comprehension Educational Assessment. This FREE service helps us gain the inside story on your child's unique needs. We understand that you, Mum and Dad, are the world experts on your child.

Because we take the time to identify your child's individual needs we are able to design a learning program that responds to those specific needs. Every Kip kid's progress is regularly assessed and their program refocussed to meet their growing ability.

CATCH UP, KEEP UP or GET AHEAD in English / maths

Get Ready for School

A stimulating ten week course designed to prepare your child for pre-school and kindy. This course caters for three and four year olds and provides a delightful computer segment alongside fine and gross motor skills, basic cognition skills, early literacy and numeracy and school readiness. It is a fun program with a serious intent.

Essay Writing

A powerful, ten lesson program designed to assist developing writers and those struggling to express themselves. It takes the student back to the core of the essay: the thesis, and builds outwards towards the finished product. The course also covers speeches and persuasive writing.

Intelligence and Memory Training

This is an exciting mix of visual and auditory memory training teamed up with a powerful cognitive development program plus expressive vocabulary exercises. This is very suitable for students facing scholarship tests or who need to develop their overall learning and reasoning skills.

Study Skills

Many students lack the skills to make the most of their learning. We can help with a program that gives them confidence in tackling: time management, organisation, goal setting, prioritisation and concentration. We also deal with effective note taking strategies, planning and research.

English as a Second Language

Gives students, young and not so young, the skills to encourage them in their personal quest to master English confidently.

Let's hear from Ben himself:

"Hi, my name is Ben Smith and I attend the Joondalup Centre. I am 11 years old.

Mr Jones said that I have won the Student of the Month because I keep on trying, even when it gets hard. I am really good at maths.

I like coming to Kip McGrath and I especially like working on the computer. I am getting much faster. Everyone is friendly and helpful to me.

My favourite book is the Toy Story Book. I love Woody best of all. My favourite movie is Happy Gilmore. It is very funny.

Kip McGrath is helping me get faster at my reading and I've got really good with making words with my sound cards."
